    MESINBALAP.com – Sebagai versi jalan raya dari Honda RC213V pasti lah RC213V-S punya beberapa perbedaan dibanding versi MotoGP murni. Motor ini diperuntukan untuk dipakai harian, bukan untuk kebut-kebutan di jalan, tentunya harus mematuhi undang-undang lalu lintas.

    Takutnya kalau dipakai kebut-kebutan di jalan raya nanti bikernya ngikutin gaya balap Marquez, rebah 360 derajat bisa tepuk jidat tuhh penggendara sepeda motor lainnya. hehehe….

    Yang jelas motor ini sudah didowngrade habis, power mesinnya hanya mencapai 157 HP (117 kW/159 PS) pada 11,000 rpm dengan torsi maksimum sebesar 102 Nm (75 lb.ft / 10.4 kgf・m) pada 10,500 rpm.

    Bandingkan saja dengan RC213V MotoGP yang sanggup memuntahkan power puncak lebih dari 234 HP (over 175 kW), meskipun sama-sama mengadopsi mesin kompak V4 90-derajat berkapasitas 999cc.

    Namun dengan memasang kit racing, power mesin RC213V-S versi jalan raya bisa didongkrak hingga lebih dari 211 HP (158 kW/215 PS) pada 13,000 rpm dan torsi 118 Nm ( 87 lb.ft / 12.1 kgf・m) pada 10,500 rpm.

    Ada beberapa parts yang dicomot langsung dari RC213V MotoGP seperti swing-arm, slipper clutch, velg magnesium Marchesini 17-inci, garpu Ohlins dan rem Brembo. Tangki bahan bakarnya juga terletak di bawah jok ditutup serat karbon, persis seperti RCV MotoGP.

    Piranti seamless-shift gearbox (SSG) tidak ditanam pada motor ini, begitu juga dengan klep pneumatic. Sebaliknya RC213V-S menggunakan transmisi konvensional dan klepnya dengan sistem coil spring. Spesifikasinya kurang lebih sama dengan RCV1000R yang turun di kelas Open MotoGP musim lalu.
